Amatus Akouboo Douw is a Member of the International Diplomat Board of the TPNPB OPM or Free Papua Movement / Organisasi Papua Merdeka (OPM). website:https://freepapuamovement.org/. He is one of West Papuan exile leader based in Australia. He was ex political asylum seeker who escaped to Australia 2006 from his homeland under Indonesian military government persecution.
Now he is promoting internationally mediated negotiation as best approach on the resolving ongoing low level armed conflict between Indonesia and West Papua, promoting U.N. Peacekeeping Mission to protect civilian and seeking everlasting peaceful solution. however, in other hand He believed "this long enduring suffering of West Papuan under new modern colonialism does not necessarily to exist in our 21 century", long West Papuan's struggle of the external rights of self determination need to seek a legal action.
