The following is an example e-mail to be sent to AmiDaniel requesting access to VandalProof source.
Daniel, I wish to request access to the source code and other restricted materials of the VandalProof project. - My username on the English Wikipedia is "AmiDaniel". - The name under which I would prefer my contributions be credited is "Daniel Cannon." This is my real name. - My preferred username on phpCollab would be "AmiDaniel". - My preferred password would be "mypassword". I have been contributing to the English Wikipedia for more than a year and have been active on other Wikimedia wikis as well. I have also been a significant contributor to numerous software projects. My programming background is primarily in CadVBA, Java, and VB6. I am fully competent in ActiveX and COM development and javascript, and I am quite familiar with the MediaWiki software. I agree to release all of my contributions (code, documentation, and otherwise) to the VandalProof project, and I allow for my submissions to be reused, modified, and published by any contributor within the explicit scope of the VandalProof project, provided I retain full rights to my submissions and provided I receive accreditation in VandalProof copyright notices and release notes. I also understand that if I fail to adequately document the changes I make to the software, I may not receive accreditation for my changes. I further agree not to publish the source code, in part or in whole, or binary builds of the software without the written consent of Daniel Cannon, the project coordinator. Sincerely, Daniel Cannon
