Ms. Amita teaches and writes in a wide range of subjects including International Law, Environmental Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Criminology.

She completed her five years B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) from University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun with specialization in Energy Laws. She then went on to pursue her LLM from Indian Law Institute, New Delhi with specialization in Criminal Law and Corporate Law. She did her dissertation on the paper titled “Competition Issues in Energy Sector: An Analysis”.

She has published articles and also presented papers in the areas of Environmental Law, Constitutional Law, Competition Law and her current research interest is in the field of International law. She also organized workshop on RTI and lecture on Environmental Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution. She has also conducted training sessions on RTI. She being a member of the Legal Aid Committee, collaborated with Delhi Legal Services Authorities in various Legal Aid initiatives and organized national seminar on “Protection of Marginalized Groups in India”. She has been a member of various other academic committees like Client Counseling Committee, Research Committee etc. She teaches the following courses of law:-

International Law Environmental Law Alternative Dispute Resolution and Criminology She is interested in teaching socially and economically disadvantaged children and also looks forward to bringing reforms in Indian legal Education.
