Building of the district office in Września (Polish: Budynek starostwa we Wrześni) - is on south from the Market, on Chopin street. Building of the district office in the time of partition was called landratura, and the adjacent starost's villa - landrat's villa.
Genesis
editThe place where the county and built a villa, to the seventeenth century occupied the cemetery, belong to Church of the Holy Spirit. After the liquidation of the temple plot fairly long remained neglected and not used. In 1848 it was purchased by the builder from Września Xavier Stelmachowski, arranging here the construction materials. Two years later, part of the cemetery land was purchased to build the headquarters of the district authorities (Września County was created in 1818). The remainder of the purchased in 1911 with the idea of building a villa landrat.
Post-war period
editUntil 1945, the buildings were used in accordance with its original purpose, ranging District Office and apartment governor. After World War II several times been overhauled and modernized. Ground floor villa in 1970, was adapted into a palace weddings, moreover, are located here desk of the Municipal Council. Building the county since 1975, was the seat of the Municipal Council, now (after the relaunch in 1999, the county Września) restored to its original function.
