BIOGRAPHY
editAna Pandevska (born 28 November 1985) composer from Skopje, Macedonia. After finishing high school at the MBUC "Ilija Nikolovski Luj" in Skopje, she won a scholarship for a two-month stay in the United States. She starts composition studies at the Faculty of Music Arts in Skopje, Macedonia and graduates in 2010.
After graduating, she volunteered at the National Institution "Tanec" and later worked as a piano teacher at private music school. Currently employed in the City of Skopje, Department of Culture, Sector for Public Activities
Pandevska shows interest in vocal music, folklore and jazz, which feels like inspiration in some of her compositions. In the last few years she has been researching in the field of electro-acoustic music.
As a regular member of SOKOM, she has won several awards for classical composition. Pandevska as an author in 2015 took part in the Golden Lyre Festival with two compositions at the concert entitled E - coustic. As part of the event European Days of Cultural Heritage in Daut Pasha Amam in 2016, as an author she took part with 3 compositions performed by Dunja Ivanova at the concert entitled "A Part of Glass" In 2015 she staged an original all-night electro acoustic concert. On December 15, 2017, she was the author of the music as part of the multimedia concert held in the chamber hall of the Macedonian Philharmonic. She has collaborated with artists from other fields. In 2015 she was nominated in the category of best composer for the event "Virtuosos" In 2018 he is the selector for the program of the festival "Skopje street music festival". In 2018, Pandevska held two workshops for children as part of the event "Leave the tablet, get off in front of the building" with a rich music educational program. In 2018 in the park of the Francophonie Pandevska held an evening multimedia concert (exhibition of paintings and electroacoustic music) project supported by the Ministry of Culture Young Europeans. In 2018, as part of the "White Night" event, pianist Dunja Ivanova held an evening concert at the Museum of Contemporary Art - Skopje, with the premiere performance of the work "Suite for Skopje" for piano and tape by composer Ana Pandevska. In 2019 was held a concert with the premiere performance of the work "In the world of miracles" music for children for piano and tape, for the first time in our country children had the opportunity to perform electro-acoustic music, an evening author's concert with music by a Macedonian author. In 2019, the Latvian pianist Lauma Skride performed a composition by Pandevska as part of the DMM, at the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle. In 2019, the concert "Quasi Burleska" was held, premiere performance of a work for band and piano "Svetlost" and Dunja Ivanova - piano, as part of "Skopje Summer" in Ibni Pajko Park, supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Centar. In 2020, the pianist Emma Popivoda with her piano class held concert with music by Ana Pandevska with a performance of the cycle "In the world of wonders" music for children for piano and tape, which was streamed online. In 2020, on the plateau in front of MKC, the pianist Dunja Ivanova held an electro-acoustic concert where in the second half of the concert the music for piano and tape by Ana Pandevska was performed for half an hour, the concert was streamed online. In 2020 at the DMM festival there were 3 performances of her compositions by domestic performers as well as by the French guitarist Roman Petiot. That same year had her world premiere of her composition "Carousel" for piano and tape in Detmold, Germany by pianist Heidi Elzeser. She is the author of solo, chamber and orchestral compositions.
Her music is performed regularly in the country and abroad.
