Jools Holland's Rhythm & Blues Orchestra started as The Jools Holland Big Band in 1987, comprising of Jools and Gilson Lavis, formerly of Squeeze. Since 1994 they have toured the UK and Europe many times, released 10 albums and played to audiences in excess of 500,000 people[1].
