How I ended up here

One of the things I enjoy most is going from a Wikipedia entry I used to answer a quick question to following any number of links that spark my curiosity. (You might even gather this from my sometimes random, often minor contributions.)

I’ll admit, I have a hard time letting little things go. So my first edits, and even the decision to make an account, were largely because when I saw an inconsistently spelled name or missing punctuation, I thought, well, that couldn’t be too difficult to fix. And someone really ought to. And I’m already here. Who knows the next time someone else might come along?

In a way, I see Wikipedia as a way to pass it forward to a stranger. Someone took the care to build an entry from nothing, and others continued shaping it, trusting that, at some point, it may answer another's query or fulfill their curiosity.

I have yet to buy a pair of shoes without navigating to Ian's Shoelace Site after for the perfect funky way to re-lace them.

I can't speak for how often you have need for finding themed idioms, but when I'm titling papers, book chapters, or making party invitations, I use Learn English Today to find the *perfect* one, as both their entries and categories are numerous.

As someone who loves movies but not gore, Does the Dog Die? helps me avoid, or at least anticipate it. If you typically head to Letterboxd after a movie, consider going here as well and taking a minute to help other viewers.
