This user is a student editor in Wikipedia:Wiki_Ed/Rice_University/Human_Development_in_Global_and_Local_Communities_(Spring_2016). Student assignments should always be carried out using a course page set up by the instructor. It is usually best to develop assignments in your sandbox. After evaluation, the additions may go on to become a Wikipedia article or be published in an existing article. |
About Me
editHello and welcome to my page! My name is Alice and I am an undergraduate student at Rice University studying Biochemistry and Cell Biology with a minor in Poverty, Justice, and Human Capabilities. While I am new to the Wikipedia community, I look forward to contributing to pages related to human rights and poverty. I have a particular interest in public health and Latin America.
Proposed Work
editFor my first Wikipedia contribution, I created a new page called malnutrition in Peru. There was a malnutrition page as well as pages specific to countries including India and South Africa, but not one for Peru. I focused on the causes, effects, and management efforts of malnutrition specific to Peru. This semester, I will be contributing to another Wikipedia page, Health status of Asian Americans. If you have any interest in either of these topics (but especially the latter), please feel free to contact me with suggestions or questions! I would be happy to collaborate with a fellow Wikipedian!
