The Change for the Children Foundation was created by the Jonas Brothers to inspire children around the world to get involved in charitable organizations.

This foundation will launch on July 4th, 2008 and will be coinciding with the Jonas Brothers Burning Up Tour.

Background

edit

The Jonas Brothers (Joe, Nick and Kevin) American pop-rock band from Wyckoff, New Jersey made up of three brothers. Forming the band in 2005, the Jonas Brothers released their self-titled platinum album in 2007. They are recording artists, songwriters as well as musicians.

Today the Jonas Brothers have seven platinum and gold certified records outside the US, as well as a sold out European tour, and sold out 80,000 seat stadium shows in Latin America.

Mission Statement

edit

The Change for the Children Foundation is to provide support for programs that motivate and inspire children to face adversity with confidence, determination and a will to succeed. Children are given the opportunity to participate in helping the world and are given a choice out of 5 charities to support.

D-Vision

edit

A large goal for the Change for the Children Foundation is to support people with Diabetes and help raise money to raise awareness, do research and find a cure. In November 2005, Nick Jonas was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Nick battled with living with diabetes for almost a year and a half after his diagnosis. He then publicly announced that he had diabetes at Carnival For a Cure. He wanted to address everyone who has or knows someone with diabetes to make sure that they knew they were not alone.

The song “A Little Bit Longer” was written by Nick after he was diagnosed with diabetes.

How It Works

edit

The first initiative of the Change for the Children Foundation will be “You Decide. You Donate.” The Jonas Brothers have selected 5 charities that support children’s causes. People will be able to learn about these charities and decide which to support with donations. This initiative will encourage children to donate their own money to these charities.
