Mr. Ardhendu Chatterjee is one of the respective human being of Humanity of South Kolkata. Who always dreamt to create such an organization which will help to grow and hold the heritage of Musical and Cultural Programme of the legacy of Indian Art. He always supported Indian Music and Cultural Programmes and this was the reason behind the foundation of "AALAP-A SOCIO CULTURAL ORGANIZATION".
In the year 1975, Mr. Ardhendu Chatterjee had joined his hands with many successful legendary people of India and created a Community with them to run the organization successfully.
Dr. Anutosh Datta (Ex Sheriff of Kolkata) was one of the important body part of AALAP. From the beginning till the last day of his life he was being designated as the President of AALAP. He had fully supported AALAP with his blessings and kind cooperation.
With the cooperation of the Community members of AALAP ---had hosted it's first Programme at Rabindra Sadan on 25th Dec 1975 and had received success and pride. After the grand success of its first programme the journey of AALAP begins and had equally hosted many successful Cultural and Musical Programmes in the heart of "CITY OF JOY" KOLKATA.
The Fame of AALAP had attracted many legendary celebrities of India to participate on the programme hosted by AALAP.
