Ancient Spaces is an attempt to recreate ancient civilizations and locales on computers. Ancient Spaces is an open source program for scholars and experts in the field of archaeology and anthropology. It was initially thought of and developed by Oxford University graduate Michale Griffin. This program was developed in the Arts and Instructional program at the University of British Columbia. Ancient spaces is planned to be accessible to the public at large via an MMORPG type interface and will be expanded and improved wiki style. As of now Ancient Spaces is only being used and developed in house among researchers and students, but will be available to the public at an unspecified time in the future.
