In the year 1621 a war that has never been known to man occurred. A war between two tribes. the Cherokee and the shoshone. Before the war, The tribes lived in harmony as neighbors and gave each other useful necessities to help each other survive. The tribes did not care that they were different; they only knew peace and kindness towards each other. The leader of the Cherokee, “chief Red jacket” and Leader of the Shoshone, “chief Utea” we’re good friends and even consider each other blood Brothers. This was all forgotten On October 21, 1621, the night of a blue moon, a dispute between red jacket and Utea occured due to tribal rituals on each other's land. Chief red jacket had one of his people murder and cut out the heart of cheese Utea’s only son. War erupted! Sheshone killing Cherokee and Cherokee killing Sheshone. The war continued For three days with a total of 211 deaths with more than 403 casualties. There was no resolution until the Chiefs met up in a peaceful manner to discuss the end of this war. Chief Utea could not forgive Chief Red Jacket for what he had done to his son. The only way to resolve this war is for chief Utea to cut out Chief Red Jacket’s son’s heart and bury it with his sons heart under the oak tree so the Gods would know your peace is true. The warhead finally ended October 25, 1621. Although there was no more death and hatred the tribes were in desperate need to separate and be far apart from each other. The Cherokee moved south to what is now Lakewood,Colorado and the Sheshone stayed where they were which is now western Wyoming. The tribes do not bother each other anymore and Live separately.
