Non-WGS-84 Chinese coordinates
editHi, thanks for adding coordinates in your edit ([[Special:Diff/{{{diff}}}]])! The only bad news about it is that your coordinates appear mangled by Chinese obfuscation, namely [[{{{type}}}]]{{{add}}}. (Wikipedia uses WGS84 geodata, per MOS:COORDS.) Please consider cross-checking these coordinates on satellite imagery or with OSM. If the coordinates you got appear wrong, you can try feeding it through this gadget (or its web version). Thanks again. This message is substituted from User:Artoria2e5/coord-notice. --~~~~

Want to help with coordinate clean-up? For now the best way to find errors is with OSM/Wikidata Link, a tool for linking OpenStreetMap and Wikidata entries. The tool matches places by name or position and displays their differences for confirmation. A location difference on the order of 0.4-1.2 km is usually indicative of some Chinese distortion; that's when you can use the conversion tools to confirm it. Type in the name of an area (e.g. "Jingan District, Shanghai") to do multiple at a time.
