Dada Sukhendra Singh (9 August 1925 – 17 September 2006) was an Indian politician . Popularly known as Dada.
Biography
editDada Sukhendra Singh was born on 9th August in Gram bandhi Vidhansabha Raigaon, He was the second Child among 5 brothers and 3 sisters born to Shre Virendra Bahadur Singh and Shrimati Rajjo Devi.He was married to Prassana Kumari from Hadvar (Jounpur District). He is survived by 4 sons and 1 Daughter. Schooling: Darbar School Nagod He started his political career by joining RSS in 1944 when he joined the college. Guruji Golvarkar (link) follower – He was a part of the freedom fighting upsurge that was conducted by local students and community. First political election fought in 1962 by Bhartiya Jan Sangh, shivanand from INC (LA) Lost to Kanta Ben Parekh (INC) (1967) (LA)* Lost to Kanta Ben Parekh (INC) (1972) (LA)* He worked for expansion of Jan Sangh Emergengy in 1975 – underground for 1 year And Caught in Banaras in August 76 till end of emergency. Till 1977, Panna and Satna were common seat for Membr of parliament and in 1977 the office was engaged HH Maharaja Narendra Singh Panna. In 1977 after emergency ,Satna was divided as a separate member of Parliament seat and Dada was the MP from this seat.

editIn 1977 he fought for Lok Sabha (his first MP seat) and defeated the candidate (Ram Chandra Bajpayee (INC)) by 1.17 lakhs probably the highest winning marging in MP under the banner of Janta Dal. in 1980 election he lost to Barrister Gulsher Ahmed (INC) in Membr of Parliament election under the banner of BJP. in 1989 election he defeated Ajeez Qureshi (INC) by a margin of 75000 Member of Parliament Member, Standing Committee on Science & Technology, Environment & Forests. in 1991 he election lost to Arjun Singh(INC). He gave up for any election, but worked continuously for oranisation and reached to State vice president position. He Served the people of constituency for which he was. He works as sangathan mantri of party spanning across Vindhya Region, Shahdol division and Bundelkan regions. In profound memory DaDa , MP Government dedicated the famous Dhawari Stadium in his name, Now Known as Dada Sukhendra Singh Stadium. He has worked with Kusha Bhau Thakare.
