Ashukile Mwakisulu is a Malawian born film actor, writer and director. He is best known for his role in Shemu Joyah's award winning film The Last Fishing Boat(2012)
In 2015, Mwakisulu created and starred in one of Malawi's most popular television series'CHOICES which is broadcast weekly on MBC Television. He also starred in another Shemu Joyah film The Road To Sunrise in 2017.
Mwakisulu wrote and directed the award winning feature film All We Have Is Us in 2021 for which he received the awards for Best Actor, Best Feature Film and Best Script at the 2022 Malawi Film Festival. Mwakisulu also created another award winning TV series called Mitekete on Times TV. The series won Best TV Series at the 2023 Malawi Film Festival. Mwakisulu also acts as a voice over artist for many radio and television productions.
