editCurrently based in Athens, Greece.
Have previously lived in Dublin, Ireland, and in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
Expect, but do not hope, to spend the future in the Waste Land.
Profession
editArchaeologist, specialised in prehistory, especially Neolithic. Also in prehistoric ritual and religion, as well as in use of caves.
I have been involved in archeological fieldwork in Germany, France, Ireland and Greece (mainly Crete).

Still working on my doctoral thesis...
Real name
editI'm in two minds as to whether wikipedia editors should have to provide their actual name. There's good arguments either way. If you need mine for some reason, you can email me.

Greece, Ireland, Germany (all aspects in each case, especially archaeology, history, cultural history, art and architecture, politics, literature and culinary tradition).

The Berlin Gold Hat Award | ||
I award you this Berlin Gold Hat Award for your wonderful work on German archaeology articles. I didn't realise we had a whole heap of archaeology articles missing in this encyclopedia and you are basically filling it all. Congrats ! You are now required to wear this hat on any formal occasion. Cheers, Rosenknospe (talk) 13:43, 7 December 2007 (UTC) |
The 25 DYK Medal | ||
Congratulations! Here's a medal for you in appreciation of your hardwork in creating, expanding and nominating 25+ articles for DYK. Numbers are not important, but 25 is impressive - we take off our (gold) hats. Archaeology rules. Keep up the good work, Athinaios! --Victuallers (talk) 20:46, 9 December 2007 (UTC) |
