The Gentle Rapist was a rapist active in Miami from 1969 to 1978.
Known for the gentle way he spoke to his victims, as well as leopard-skin cape, tights, Earth shoes and flower embroidered rape kit.
In 1981, police discovered behavioral and fingerprint evidence that identified him as a convict. Unfortunately the statute of limitations had run out and he was unable to be officially convicted.[1]
In 2012, DNA evidence from two of the rapes tied him to them and he was arrested.[2]
