Vyper is a video game created by Synapse Software and published by Synapse Software for the Mindset in 1984. The player controls a fighter plane.

Gameplay

At the start of the game, a short bit of music can be heard, but the rest of the game is silent except for sound effects. The player controls a single fighter plane as it flies through a 3D cityscape and can shoot at targets through nine levels.

The game sold for $50 (equivalent to $147 in 2023), along with a Mindset joystick for $40 (equivalent to $117 in 2023).[1]


Significance

Vyper is the only game developed for Mindset. Other games will not run on the platform.
