I have have had repeated issues accessing my previous account. I may have once owned Big_Kate or BigKate and I definitely used to own BiggestKate, But have not been able to log back in. I also have a large number of edits by IP address. which will be placed here when I have discovered what it is.
This page is very much in Alpha as I work out what to place here and how.
I have been editing Wikipedia practically since its inception and I have significant issues with its language based classification system. The lumping together of English speakers into one group lead to cultural imperialism, where who shouts the loudest wins, in the case people in the USA. I believe that English needs to be forked into English USA, Canadian English, British English, Australian English, News Zealand English, African English, Indian English, Chinese English, English International etc, The reason is that article about say Bagpuss or Danger Mouse which might mean nothing to someone from outside of the UK and thus suggested for deletion. Whilst Chuckie Cheese is retained, which has no significance to most people outside the United States.
Sex vs Gender
I recognise that this is a very controversial perspective, as I am writing from the perspective of a different paradigm than from the current 'scientific' paradigm. I contest that that the current model is in fact scientific in relation sex, sexuality and gender, in my opinion its actually a re-codification of a previous ideas from a previously science paradigm based not in genetics but in a theological perspective on science that was defended by the work of Alfred Wallace, Charles Darwin and his grandfather Erasmus Darwin.
Charles Darwin's work was well known and supported by various churchmen. As he was the head and one of the founders of the Royal Society (The Royal Societies membership was open to anyone who could attend their meetings. You just had to be able afford to book a place at the table & pay for the meal. At the various establishments they used for their meetings (in modern terms - establishments near Oxford: the Four Seasons or The Fat Duck or in New York: Masa, Polo Bar & Torrisi). it was liked because it supported the existence of God rather than attempting to falsify it, as other evolutionists had done. His ides like the descent of man is very clearly based on existing religious based paradigms such as the 'Tree of Life' (and the later relative 'Tree of Life') where God was replaced by 'Nature' and 'Natural Laws'.
The problem is with challenging the current perspective is that its is Somebody else's problem and to see its phallacies (PUNisment deliberate) is very difficult. It took me years of knowing something did not make sense, to finally see what is now obvious to me: Sex and Sex Science (Sexology) is as much an artificial creation as Race and Race-science (Eugenics) or Phrenology and Degeneration. They are all products of Victorian Sciences attempt to codify the world in terms of its own imperialistic and colonialist values. Where it saw itself as the apex of all humanity, which itself was the apex of tree of all life on earth. When in fact were an amphibious scavenger species that nearly didn't survive.
Currently sex is seen as being at the core of genetics and gene replication - with Sexual and Asexual ' reproduction'. When other less codified words can be used in the description of gene replication. When its actually a series of bimodal distributions where those with widest space between peaks is seen as Primary Characteristics and narrower gaps as Secondary Characteristics.
Transgender vs Trans(s)exual.
I recognise that I have not given references to Tertiary Sources as is expect in Wikipedia. They will added in time as I can find them.
Transgender first came into general use from approximately 1996, because of its adoption by the then London Pride team. It was all used by the Los Angeles team but I do not know how influential it was. It was used previously for at least one local prides prior to that but had, as far as I am aware, no wider impact. At London Pride 1996 its definition was codified in the Pride Magazine that was given away to over 250,000 people as "people who challenge 'traditional' assumptions about gender and this includes" and then went onto list a variety of then commonly used labels such as Transvestite, Drag King, Drag Queen, FTM and m2F Trans(s)exuals, Butch women, Femme men, Androgynes, Gender Fluid/Fuck, CrossDressers, HemaphroDykes, Intersex. At the time terms like Non-Binary were not in use, as were terms like TransMasculine, TransFemmine, and TransMedicalist but would have been included if the had been known then.
The reason Transgender was used as opposed to Transsexual, was because Transgender was an inclusive term that in its description talked about how it could be taken on by anyone but no one had the right to exclude others from the use of the label. Or to put in current parlance to be Gate Kept or Purity Testing. It was created as part of the term LGBT, which itself was a way to get back to the Original meaning of the word Gay, prior to it being NewSpeaked i.e. rewritten or captured by the Authoritarian, Religious and Right Wing media and alternative media. Who in a classic case of divide and conquer patriarchy that stole the term from the people who had created about themselves and instead popularised their interpretation that codified their world view. In this case the group of media consisted of two groups 'Straight' acting Gay Men (who had previously fought against the Gay Rights movement) references to them can be seen in the film Before Stonewall and heterosexual women who had used the work of Sheila Jefferies and similar Radical Feminists.
This group of Radical Feminists described themselves as 'Politically Lesbian' when in fact they were largely heterosexual. These women and their ideas had come to dominate mainstream and alternative media feminist thought, as any other perspective was censored from publication and thus existence. Its theoretically scientific roots came from a rejection of the socialists feminist perspective due to issues with socialism and communism in the United States. And its replacement with post modernist feminist work based in the 1950's psychological ideas of Freud et al as its 'proof' that it was based on 'Real' Science and Data (a single small 1 week study in Upper East Manhattan) and was not just a philosophical argument. Whilst much of Freud's work was widely accepted and formed the basis of post war psychology, for example its famous for being used in the advertising industry. Freud's interest in 'abnormal' sex and sexuality, was part of the ongoing development of ideas around gender that had been happening.
