On 6 November 2022, the ATR 42–500 serving the flight crash-landed in Lake Victoria while attempting to land at Bukoba in poor visibility and bad weather. At least 19 people were killed, out of 39 passengers and 4 crew members aboard. [1][2][3][4][5] The plane,Precision Air Flight 494 (PW494) was a scheduled domestic passenger flight from Dar es Salaam International Airport in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, to Bukoba Airport in the city of Bukoba.
