Matt Guthmiller (born November 29, 1994, Aberdeen, SD) is an American aviator, entrepreneur, professional speaker, and student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.[1] He currently holds the Guinness World Record for the youngest person to fly around the world, solo, which he set in a bid to encourage others to pursue ambitious dreams and promote computer science education worldwide.[2] Guthmiller also founded an early iPhone unlocking company, AnySIMiPhones, in 2007 at age 12 [3]. He is currently a junior at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology studying electrical engineering & computer science. His latest project is rumored to deal with quantitative finance[4] .
