(Jennifer Moon ) Jennifer Moon was born in Lafayette, Indiana, and now lives and works in Los Angeles. Her work explores the founder of ethico-onto-epistemologies through organizational systems, as well as how these systems are intertwined, co-constituted, enacted, and maintained through bodies. Moon's work galvanizes potential to reconfigure our connection to power, to rekindle the social and political conceptions, and to inspire change beyond binaries, hierarchies, and capital by drawing from queer life, science, self-help, popular culture, the highly personal, even fantasy.Moon launched her Phoenix Rising Saga series, a bold three-part examination of unbounded love in its purest form, devoid of social and ethnic impulses, after her 9 incarceration at Delta Prison of Women. With graphs, charts, and models, these chapters present ephemera with nearly scientific accuracy. She has shown images of goods she acquired while at VSPW, such as a transparent plastic computer keyboard, a drawing of her determine the basic, and her California Department of Correctional facilities Id Card; sculptural aspects incorporating the actual movable type and letters swapped with lovers into prison; and videos inviting us to join her universe voyage, listening to our "gut fairies" instead of belief organizations that reside in our minds.
