BadDoggie's just this guy, you know? Mostly harmless... mostly. A writer and editor since the beginning, he's a bit of a pedant.
Polyglot, multinational resident, previous AP-affiliate slot, and a tin-kicker who's worked in various fields from IT to stage & music to construction, he has little tolerance for stupidity or ignorance. "No half measures": Anything worth doing is worth doing right.
There is no bragging here -- the real name doesn't even appear. BadDoggie has worked in hospitals & EMS, in construction, on building sites doing everything from concrete to timber to roofing. A cook and chef, a legal secretary and paralegal (US Dept of Labor), IBM 4341 system SYSOP at FERC, a programmer in multiple languages (starting in COBOL, PASCAL, and 6502 ASM), copy editor, deep Web structure, databases, and other areas of IT. Also a musician, roadie, sound man, and audio and video editor before the days of Adobe & other easy apps, he worked in studios with 2" mag tape. He speaks (or has spoken at fluency level) more than half a dozen languages including US & UK English and German. Oh, and he's a pilot, rated for singe- & multi-engine, high-performance, and complex aircraft… and hasn't even scratched one yet.
This dog ain't bragging. As it states up top, I'm just this guy, ya know? Mostly harmless. Mostly.
This is meant for editor information, not bragging. Is there something missed beyond a reference to the occasionally forgotten notice that a page is supposed to be written in en-US or en-UK?
