My best articles
edit- Ecclesia Athletic Association - I knew nothing about this prior to stumbling across it on PMC's create list. It was a fascinating and incredibly disturbing subject to work on. The EAA received lots of press in the 1980s but has largely been forgotten about now and I am proud to have created an encyclopedic record of its activities.
- The Hate U Give - I am proud of the plot summary which economically tells the main events of the story and also obviates the need for a character section. I also have worked hard to incorporate a wide variety of sources to cover the full breadth of the book, audio book, and, in summary form, the movie.

edit- ... that Radiant Child: The Story of Young Artist Jean-Michel Basquiat won the Caldecott Medal for its illustrations done in the style of Basquiat?
- ... that the title character of The Adventures of Beekle was named after the way the author Dan Santat's son would say "bicycle"?
- ... that The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle, a 1991 Newbery Honor book, was written in the style of a 19th-century travelogue?
- ... that the shooting of Oscar Grant motivated Angie Thomas to write a short story that became the basis for her debut novel, The Hate U Give? Co-written with Innisfree987
- ... that Derrick Barnes based the main character of Crown: An Ode to the Fresh Cut on his own son? Note: This is what appeared on the main page and is factually incorrect (shame on you TRM for not catching it). The DYK as nominated, which is factually correct, said "... that the narrator and main character of Crown: An Ode to the Fresh Cut is the author's son?" because it was the illustrator, Gordon C. James not the author (Barnes) who based it on Barnes' son.
- ... that in 1991, the founder of Ecclesia Athletic Association and seven other members were indicted for what a federal prosecutor termed "the largest child slavery ring in the history of the United States"?
- ... that drug users doing the Florida shuffle move between multiple rehab centers so that each center may bill the user's insurance company as much as $40,000?
- ... that Rodney Robinson, 2019 National Teacher of the Year, makes sure his former students at the Richmond Juvenile Detention Center register to vote?
Articles I am particularly proud of my work on, not otherwise noted on this page
edit- Mary Pope Osborne - Substantially rewrote into a more encyclopedic tone from what appears to have been work done by a publicist
- Arnold Lobel - Increased biographical coverage of him.
- Ripple (payment protocol) - A major TNT job, while preserving the best sources, of a crypto topic that needed such demolition
Other Content I've done
