Red Ereño or Red Bilbao is a Lower Cretaceous limestone, conformed by abundant fossilised shells and a red micritic matrix, which is quarried in Biscay, Spain. Extracted since the 1st century by the Roman Empire, it is highly valued as an ornamental stone.[1][2][3][4]
