Wikipedia:Deletion review (DRV) is meant to be an appeal for mistaken or misguided deletions. While the process works a good deal of the time, there is no guarantee that the process will result in the correct outcome - overturning a speedy deletion that did not meet speedy deletion criteria, deletion of an article that was kept improperly at articles for deletion, etc. While some mistakes are expected, the level of error at DRV is much lower than the actual level, and this page is intended to be a collection of such.

Reviews

For each daily log, I'll link to the log, note the number of reviews, and note the number incorrect, with a second bullet point explaining. Withdrawals, "consent of closing/deleting admin" closures, improper forums (challenging a redirect, for example) and prod undeletion requests are not included in these counts.

2007

March

• 1 March - 4 reviews, 1 error
  • Unofficial St. Patrick's Day - deletion endorsed although sources to establish suitability were presented. Should have been overturned.
• 2 March - 5 reviews, no errors
• 3 March - 2 reviews, 1 error
  • Jeopardy! in popular culture - although relisted, was done so because of "no decision." Clear error in original AfD closure in terms of COI and AfD consensus.
• 4 March - 10 reviews, 1 error
  • Re:sound - a proper A7 deletion, even if the show is notable.
• 5 March - 4 reviews, no errors.
• 6 March - 6 reviews, 1 error.
  • EGullet - AfD demonstrated necessary sources, DRV mentioned more. Still remains a redlink.
• 7 March - 11 reviews, 1 error.
  • Jewdar - AfD showed new sources, no relist anyway. Still a redlink.
• 8 March - 4 reviews, no errors.
• 9 March - 7 reviews, 1 error.
  • Steak and Blowjob Day - numerous reliable sources presented, arguments were simply ignored.
• 10 March - 3 reviews, no errors.
• 11 March - 8 reviews, no errors.
• 12 March - 5 reviews, no errors.
• 13 March - 4 reviews, 1 error.
  • Xtreme ice skating - invalid A7 noted, but endorsed anyway. A7 does not apply to games.

  • Accidental Centaurs - notability asserted and established, probable improper use of G4.
• 15 March - 2 reviews, no errors.
• 16 March - 5 reviews, 1 error.
  • Rickey Smith - Verifiably met standards, improper AfD closure endorsed anyway.

• 18 March - 3 reviews, 1 error.
  • Baseball Channel - Met standards, was closed due to an interesting procedural issue. Has since been properly recreated at The Baseball Channel.
• 19 March - 9 reviews, 2 errors.
  • Matrixism - Reliable sources provided, speedy still endorsed and article remains salted.
  • Dean Roberts (criminal) - Notability and sources provided, deletion still bizarrely endorsed even after faulty arguments were addressed.
• 20 March - 6 reviews, 1 error.
  • Red wings (sexual act) - Inappropriate speedies and incomplete AfDs made this outcome improper. Still a redlink.
• 21 March - 3 reviews, 0 errors.
• 22 March - 9 reviews, 3 errors.
  • Category:Doctor Who people - closed early as WP:POINT with no evidence of such.
  • Melissa Scott (pastor) - endorsed an A7 over a consensus keep AfD, blatantly out of process. Article has since been reinstated.
  • Five clicks to jesus - Many admissions that it didn't meet the speedy criteria, endorsed anyway, still a redlink.
• 23 March - 2 reviews, 0 errors.
• 24 March - 2 reviews, 1 error.
  • File:Airforce-ti.jpg - faulty deletion of public domain image based on poor OTRS request that was granted. Erring on the side of caution is good if no one else cares, maybe, but not a discussion for DRV, and the deletion was improper.
• 25 March - 1 review, 1 error.
  • Brian Peppers in popular culture - No violations, no policy issues, and banks on the mistake deletion from a month earlier. Making the same mistake twice is still a mistake.
• 26 March - 4 reviews, 2 errors.
  • Internet troll squads - Deleted over a consensus of keep at AfD. Endorsed anyway.
  • Hadouken! - Did not meet speedy criterion at the time of deletion. Still a redlink.
• 27 March - 4 reviews, 1 error.
  • Fighting Words - Speedied out of process during improper webcomic purge, endorsed anyway, now a nonsensical redirect to a book it was mentioned in.
• 28 March - 4 reviews, 2 errors.
  • List of Mario Party minigames - Along with the Advance ones, no consensus at AfD and admin ignored it.
• 29 March - 4 reviews, 0 errors.
• 30 March - 7 reviews, 1 error.
  • Subcategories of Category:Gaelic Athletic Association All Star Awards (football), Category:Gaelic Athletic Association All Star Awards (hurling) - a mess of categorization, nom was 100% correct.

  • Doba (company) - No consensus for deletion or redirect, but DRV decided to delete anyway.
