Weathership (stylised in all caps) are an alt rock 5 piece from Teesside, formed from the dark of lockdown and the duality between love and fear.

Told from the point of view of the crew of an expedition ship, they tell stories of loss, love and heartbreak.

Forming in 2022 and putting on a xmas show to 12 people, the band have gone from strength to strength.

From selling out their own show out and selected as Danielle Perry’s first unsigned band of the month on Absolute Radio in April 2023.

The band then finished a new single The Blue which made its way on to Danielle Perry'sSunday show on Absolute Radio for the duration of April 2023. Garnering much local support the band opened up Stockton Calling 2023, filling the same stage they only managed to get 12 people to prior.

The year finished with more gigs and slow at 'Twisterella Festival' in Middlesbrough.

edit

After more gigs in 2024, the band finished recording their first long player with producer 'Jamie Donelly' and released the single 'The Swimmer' on Butterly Effect Lable as a limited edition 7", selling out in 24 hours.
