Ill effects of Tobacco advertisement on Teenagers

    The successful marketing of a product starts with the determination of consumer's needs and ends with the satisfaction of such needs. To satisfy these needs, the consumers must know about the product's existence in the market. This is made possible via TV advertisements. Here, we've taken Tobacco as an example.
                
     Every advertisement must be decided where to exactly put by its advertise. The alternatives are the adverts media, the means by which the message is communicated to the people. As we can see every channel, including news channels in India adverts on Tobacco. No doubt, they try to show that smoking is a bad habit and not healthy for the teenagers or anyone. But as they show how to smoke, the teenagers learn it so quickly to how to smoke. The teenagers don't take the advertisement as a helpful one, rather they start smoking watching on the television. They get influenced and start consuming tobacco on a regular basis, which is not a good thing and has become a serious problem in our nation. 


      The main role of Mass Media here is to stop advertising about Tobacco or smoking. Even in every cinema, they start the story with an advertisement on tobacco. So, the Film industry should stop it. Every news channel should stop advertising about it or they should put talk shows on how unhealthy smoking or tobacco is. As media is the fourth pillar of democracy, they can definitely stop this bad thing happening in our society. They can make every teenager understand that smoking is a bad habit and it will lead to them to death. So, the media or mass media can take a very heavy step towards this problem by simply not advertising or showing tobacco on the television.
