History
editFormation (2005)
editThe original members of The D-Coys, who met during Year 8 at St Peter's Catholic Comprehensive School in late 2005, were George Stacey (lead vocals), Josh Hughes (piano) and Jonjo McKay (drums). The formation of The D-Coys began after Josh Hughes decided to play Coldplay's Clocks in an end of year assembly. George Stacey and Jonjo McKay joined him and successfully played in front of 250 people. The band has changed names a number of times since forming, beginning with Tritanium, then Renaissance, followed by Hedge Monkeys and finally settled on The D-Coys in early 2007.
