METO can refer to:
- the Middle East Treaty Organization, a non-governmental organization founded in 2017 by a coalition of civil-society activists and disarmament practitioners, with the aim to rid the Middle East of all weapons of mass destruction.[1]
- the Baghdad Pact, a Cold War military alliance also known as the Middle East Treaty Organisation, formed in 1955 by Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Turkey and the United Kingdom and subsequently named the Central Treaty Organisation (CENTO) until it was dissolved in 1979.
- Maximum Except Takeoff, or Normal Rated Power, a term in aviation engineering designating the highest available power at which an engine may be operated continuously for emergency or high performance operation in climb or level flight.[2]
