Engela village

Engela is village situated in Namibia at the northern part of Namibia in Ohangwena region.Engela is flat area and is surrounded by many small village like Ouhongo ,Omafo,Eeshoke, Omedi and Oimbadalungu is also a constituency.The headman of Engela is Popyeninawa Jeimo.

Reason for settlement in Engela

Engela is estimated that people come there around 1730s because the place is rich in water supply because of Oshana surrounding and grass grow well as well as forest around the area but now is no more,good for grazing .Engela is nucleated settlement because house are close.

Economic

Most land is used for cultivation of mahangu.The border town Oshikango has bring jobs to the resident of Engela village like Fatima plastic, Fysal Fresh Produce and many companies.

In Engela we have food shop like like Onakamwandi supermarket. Hospitals like Engela Hospital. Schools like Weyulu primary school, Ndilokelwa primary school and Engela Junior secondary school . church like Engela Elcin church. In Engela there is no transport service like bus and train service. Entertainment:There soccer field but not of high standard ,bars like toshake and onakamwandi and many cucashop.

Life

Many old buldings which were buld by missionary from Finland are used by Angolan for renting and some are used by the church. Most foreign who own business in [[Oshikango] in Engela in location called Enongelo which was build by Finish missionaries around 1923.
