Banafshe Rahimi (born: 1972, Tehran) : is a contemporary Iranian painter[1]. She began to learn traditional Iranian painting (miniature) since 1984 and continued to paint in realism style. Her master in realism was Mr.Iraj shafei. She experienced several materials in painting like color pencil, water color, pastel, oil color, ink, etc.
She took apart in several group exhibitions and individual exhibitions in Seyhoon gallery, Niavaran complex and Ava gallery in Tehran.
Rahimi began to teach painting since 1999 and had a lot of group exhibitions with her student in Karaj galleries since then.
She is one of the most active painters of Iran and has introduced more than 500 art pieces to the community during these years. She exposes 2 or 3 exhibitions each year.
Her painting is a combination of wild flowers and plants, cloudy skies and deserts. The idea came from the nature when the colors are not natural although they don’t seem unnatural.
She studies master pieces of the world painting and gets her own special idea from them. One of her favorite painters is Andrew White.
Rahimi expresses her feelings in her painting and likes people to criticize her art to learn from them.
