Beau Thomas Labedz was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on April 4, 1974. He was known for playing Major League Baseball from 1995-2003. He played on the New York Yankees (1995-1998), and the Chicago Cubs (1999-2003). Beau was a three time all star and won rookie of the year in 1995. His father, Bradley Gregg Labedz was also a major leaguer; playing from 1968-1981. He played on the Seattle Mariners (1968-1975), and the New York Yankees (1978-1981). Bradley was a two time all star and won rookie of the year in 1968. His mother, April Christine Hauptmeier-Labedz, was a professional tennis player from 1970-1974.
