The Kraft Nabisco Championship is an annual golf competition held at the end of March start of April. It was established in 1972, which it did not become a major championship until 1983, and one of the four women's major championships played each year that includes the LPGA Championship, the U.S. Women's Open, and the Women's British Open.[1] This event has always been conducted in stroke play competition, and is always the first women's major of the year.[1]
Amy Alcott, Betsy King and Annika Sörenstam hold the record for the most victories with three, and Annika Sörenstam with back-to-back wins is the only golfer to accomplish that feat at the Kraft Nabisco Championship.[1] The lowest winning score is Dottie Pepper's 19-under par in 1999.[1]
