Larry Soderblom (born 1944) is a geophysicist at the United States Geological Survey. He received bachelor's degrees in geology and physics from New Mexico Tech in 1966, and a PhD in Geophysics and Planetary Science from Caltech in 1970.[2]
He served as Deputy Imaging Team lead for the Voyager missions[3], as Co-Investigator for the Mars Exploration Rover mission, and as an Interdisciplinary Scientist for the Cassini mission[4].
He acted as Vice Chair for the 2013 Planetary Science Decadal Survey published by the National Research Council.
He received the 2014 Whipple Award[5] and the 2000 G.K. Gilbert Award.
