“One And One Is Two” is a song written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Originally written for Billy J. Kramer, the song was instead given to The Strangers with Mike Shannon, who released it as a single. It failed to reach the charts in both the UK and the US, [1] and the song was later disparaged by its authors.

edit”One And One Is Two” was written and demoed for Billy J. Kramer on 23 January 1964 while the Beatles were performing in France. Lennon reportedly said that “Billy J. is finished when he gets this song.”[2]
