Application of sonar / hydroacoustic technology to ha
Mobile survey application for coverage of a larger area: For detection, classification, assessment and monitoring of underwater environments. This includes bathymetry, substrate classification, sub-bottom profiling, fish and zooplankton size, behavior and biomass, submerged vegetation assessment.
Fixed location monitoring: Applicable to detection of fish, invertebrates, mammals & other aquatic and marine organisms. Particularly useful for studies of entrainment or impingement at water intakes (such as hydroelectric dams, nuclear power plant water intakes, etc). Also, most recently, for kinetic hydropower project sites for fish and marine mammals. The ability to detect, classify and track these "targets" allow these projects to respond to presence and behavior of these environmental concerns.
