I'm not quite sure what's supposed to go on this page but an introduction seems in order. I'm a semi-retired businessman from western Canada. Our business sold crop inputs in northeast Saskatchewan. We sold out to Viterra in the winter of 2007/08 and since then I have called myself a consultant which simply means that I am unemployed but I get to deduct some of my expenses. My expertise is farm and business management but I have some considerable knowledge of soil fertility gleaned from over 20 years in business and supplemented by a university undergraduate degree many years ago. I stumbled onto some factual errors on Wikipedia regarding soil science and signed on to help correct some of those errors.
