Bone Broke Kings are a heavy blues rock band from the UK.
They take their influence from several classic rock artists such as Cream, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Tower of Power, The Doors, The Zombies, Fleetwood Mac, The Black Keys, Rival Sons, Supertramp, and David Bowie to name but a few.
The band formed out of a four piece heavy classic rock tribute show called Velvet Orchids. This band consisted of brothers Tom (lead vocals and guitar)and 'Little Jack' Marrison (backing vocals and guitar), 'Big' Jack Copson (bass guitar), and Dave Green on drums. Within a couple of years they began to write original material with a view to producing an album. Keyboardist Greg Watson was invited as a guest to play organs and pianos on the album. Greg featured in a couple of gigs before taking a break from live performance while continuing to contribute to the recording sessions. As completion of the recording neared, Greg began to feature more frequently and became more involved in the writing and arranging process. The decision was made, due to audience reaction and his level of input, that Greg should be a full time member of the band and thus, Bone Broke Kings became the complete five piece they are today.
At the time of writing, Bone Broke Kings debut album 'Ruby Sunset' is in the final stages of production. Three singles have already been released; 'Blow Em' Out', 'White Queen', and 'Emily Rose.'
