Interests (related to Wiki)

Professional

I am a bioinformatician with a formal training in biochemistry. More specifically, on protein structures and evolution. I ran into a commentary on the role of experts in Wikipedia and I think it makes sense. For this reason, I do not intend to contribute specifically on topics related to my research interests, at least at the moment.

Personal

I am interested in military history, specifically on the role of technologic advancements on the way doctrines evolve. I would like to contribute on history topics at some points, once I get a good feel for the inner workings of the wikipedia project.

I am also interested in Modeling, texturing and rendering of computer digital art.

Note to self

Protein Purification

The protein purification entry is very basic and not especially well organized. I added a hiearchy to serve as a guide. This way, small contribution can be made to the entry, one topic at the time. --Bongotastic 13:29, 14 November 2005 (UTC)

Electrophoresis

The electrophoresis page was a confusing mix of electrophoretic mobility corrected for solutions without the equations for the ideal conditions (concentration of 0 and non-ionic solution). It stills need a bit of cleanup and a pointer to paper electrophoresis.

I also remove the brief discussion on agarose gel electrophoresis and added a link to the Gel_electrophoresis entry which explains it well. I also added a link to the electrophoresis entry in the Gel electrophoresis page.
