CAVFD responds to all Fire Calls (Structure or Wildland), Rescue (Medical, Injury or other) and Motor Vehicle Accidents in our service area. Each stations Rescue Unit carries a full array of Medical Gear (Wound Care, Stabilization, Oxygen, Defibrillator, Etc).
All Firefighters are Certified 1st Responders or are in training to become Certified 1st Responders in the State of Oklahoma. We all carry voice pagers or radios to be dispatched in a moment's notice from our homes or the stations whenever we are in the area. Many of us live all over the CAVFD service area and can have a trained firefighter/medic at your address in a matter of minutes while the equipment begins the response.
CAVFD has approximately eight (8) Registered- Emergency Medical Technicians 1st Responders (EMT-1R's) to provide Basic Life Support Services in most any situation.
