Born in Los Angeles, Rabin played in several local bands (Turquoise Blu, Yesterday, Alias) while attending Van Nuys High School in his hometown of Van Nuys, CA. Rabin was 'discovered' while playing with a group called Turquoise Blue and signed with Epic.
