The City of Bradford has been given the accolade of being the first UNESCO CITY of FILM.

Bradford City Football Club,the first winners of the present day FA cup which was designed in the City of Bradford by the local jewllers Fattorini and sons.
St George's Hall is the oldest concert hall in the UK AND THE THIRD OLDEST IN THE WHOLE OF EUROPE.
The Brontë sisters were born in Thornton which was incorporated into the City of Bradford in 1899 , but wrote most of their novels while living at the Haworth Parsonage (which is now a museum owned and maintained by the Brontë Society), when their father was the parson at the adjacent Church of St. Michael and All Angels. The house in which the Brontë sisters were born in is situated on Market Street Thornton, Bradford (Charlotte-1816,Emily Jane-1818 and Anne-1820) is a grade11 listed building,one of 5,800 in Bradford and can be visited on the way to Haworth parsonage around 5 miles away.
To the North of the City lies the UNESCO World Heritage site at Saltaire, the village was built in 1853 for his mill workers by the Bradford mill owner Sir Titus Salt.Sir Titus Salt was the largest employer in Bradford at the time and also became Lord Mayor of the Town.There is a superb statue of Sir Titus situated in the newly refurbished Roberts Park in Saltaire.
