Haivan Hoang (born) is an academic and scholar in literacy and postsecondary writing studies with a focus on Asian/American rhetoric. She is an Associate Professor at University of Massachusetts, Amherst (UMass Amherst) and has served in several postsecondary leadership positions.

editHoang received her B.A from University of California, Berkeley, MA from California State University, Hayward, and PhD from Ohio State University.[1]
Teaching and professional experience
editHoang has worked at UMass Amherst since 2004, serving as _____ and currently serves as an Associate Professor and Associate Director of the Junior Year Writing Program. She has held two other leadership positions throughout her time as a faculty member at the university, including Director of the University Writing Center (2008-2010) and Writing Program (2011-2016).[1][1]
