The town
editMayberry is a fictional town in North Carolina. It is often assumed to be based on Andy Griffith's hometown of Mt. Airy, NC, but Griffith himself suggests otherwise.[1]
The town is the setting for The Andy Griffith Show, Mayberry R.F.D., and Return to Mayberry.
