Halsey MacArthur "Mac" Lane (born July 25, 1967) is a freelance humor columnist who has written for the High Point Enterprise (2003-2009) and Greensboro News-Record (2009-present) A native of High Point, North Carolina, Lane is known for his humorous takes on parenthood, marriage and small town life. Lane's has written pieces on his hatred of swim meets, the frustration of lawn care, having a heart attack at age 49 despite being a marathon runner and having one's wife be furious with you because of something she dreamed you did.
