Hi, I am new to editing Wikipedia. Canis lupus arctos is a subspecies of Canis lupus, specifically the 'Arctic Wolf'. The spelling error is intentional, as I am from New Zealand (the opposing pole). Although I chose the username because I feel this wolf has many similar attributes to myself, we also have some distinct differences to one another. Perhaps Canis lupus antarctus may have been a better choice ;)
My qualifications are: BA, Major Psychlogy, Minor Philosophy. BSc, Major Biological Sciences; PgDipSci (Distinction) Biological Sciences.
I have been diagnosed by two independent specialist psychiatrists with fairly severe Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Please try not to stigmatize me, please try to be understanding of what ADHD is in actuality (it's one of the most misunderstood conditions of all), if I say something that offends you, please understand I speak with the best intention. Come and speak with me about it, and I'll do my best to be understanding of any mistakes or errors I have made, and act as best I can in good faith to correct them, and ensure they aren't repeated.
I will admit I am skeptical of Wikipedia as an unbiased source of information, and whether bias in articles is even possible to avoid. I am bothered by difficulties I have had in editing demonstrably incorrect contributions on a variety of pages, and the conflict of interest I have encountered along the way. But I want to keep an open mind, and see if I can help to make the community a better place.
I am very thankful to MatthewVanitas for their kind offer to help me learn the ropes, and I hope that with their help I will be able to get onto contributing in a positive manner as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Thank you!
