World War I Gas Attack

This type of war is called Chemical Warfare and it was a deadly Technic for war. There are many types of gases that are made for different results. Germany was the main country that would use Chemical Warfare as a War Technic. Gassing was a cruel and very deadly way to attack an opponent.

Gas Attack

Chemical Warfare was used to attack the opponent when at a distance. In situations one side would gas a group of people and then go in with gas masks and finish of those who protected themselves from the gas. Chemical Warfare would also be used to eliminate a group of people. Dictators would gas a town that didn't agree with their government. Chemical Warfare was often used as quieter way to kill.[1]

History of Chemical Warfare

The oldest known use of Chemical warfare was in circa A.D. 256. In 1915 during World War I many sides used Chemical Warfare as a fighting agent. Tokyo in 1943 was was deadliest Gas attack done by U.S. killing 100,000 people. In 1992 disease was used as chemical weapon by the U.S.S.R.. The latest attack was a terrorist attack on 2001 on the United States.

World War I

During World War I Nations used Chemical Warfare as a direct attack. On battle grounds army's would make trenches. In World War I Chlorine Gas was very popular in use. When Gas was released to some trenches, it wouldn't last for about fifteen minutes. Trenches were used as a resting and protecting Technic of War, but gas weapons were invented to reach the trenches.[3]
