Hello, I'm that Porsche Carrera GT guy

edit

It's MY mental illness and I get to choose the hyperfixation

I'm Carrera075, but you can call me Carrera. Despite how the name sounds, I use he/him pronouns.

I have been associated with the Porsche Carrera GT for over a decade now. If there's anything people remember about me, it's my obsession with this car (although admittedly I cannot afford a Porsche, but I do drive a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS). I originally liked it because it was the best car in Need for Speed: Carbon, and it's just stuck with me. I still frequent the NFS community, but not as much as I used to.

I have a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, and I am currently in the job search in GIS. Despite my unhealthy obsession with exactly one car, my main interests are in geography, and indeed geography was what I focused on in my social sciences degree. I love how you can look at a map, and point at a specific road, building, mountain, border, or whatever, and that represents a real place that you can actually go to. Recently I've been interested in historical geography, such as where nations are, when cities were made, and why we drew the lines on a map there specifically, and I'll probably be making my edits in that area of interest. As much as I hate to admit it, I do play grand strategy games by a certain game publisher.

I'm somewhat new to this whole Wikipedia thing, and I might not have everything down exactly, so if I make a grievous blunder, let me know and I'll try not to cry.

Anyways here's some common mistakes people make when pronouncing the Porsche names:

Name Syllables
Porsche Two Syllables
Carrera Three Syllables
GT what?
