About meeditCurrently, I mainly write and produce dance and R&B/soul music. Because much of the music I make results in a combination of different sub-genres (and the aspects of a piece of music that command a certain sub-genre label is a matter of fierce debate anyway), I will go into this no further. What I can tell you (which is far more cut and dried) is what equipment I use. I'm a Pro Tools user first, but I'm at home with Logic Pro and REAPER too. I own a variety of hardware synths, including a Korg Triton and a Roland JP-8000. Some rotund analogue synths adorn my collection including a Waldorf Microwave and an Oberheim Matrix-1000. I consider myself blessed to be able to use Quested monitors to aid me in my task. I have also composed for film and TV, although this type of work is fleeting, unfortunately! Some of this work has involved dubbing and completing the final audio mix for TV too. I have recently started to involve myself in the songwriting aspect of music making too. I find Wikipedia very useful indeed, and so I feel to 'put a bit back in' as an editor by tidying, correcting, clarifying and updating where I can.
Past historyeditIn keeping with not wanting to turn my user page into a colossal resume, I'd also like to briefly mention (and because I think it's relevant to Wikipedia) that I've also worked on feature films, commercials and pop promos in a visual effects related capacity. Through this I've also had dealings with directors, producers, the camera dept. (including DPs, focus pullers etc.), the editing dept., sound recordists/sound mixers and continuity/script supervisors. I am familiar with much of the motion picture making equipment used by the industry. I've been Wiki-editing for quite a while. But because I spend so much time away from the internet, especially by involving myself in music, I haven't received much and I don't foresee much in the way of Wiki-awards. Oh well!!
Now and the futureeditLess of these for me:
